Time to reflect on 2017

Can you believe that it is nearly the end of 2017? I mean where has the time gone?

Looking back, reflecting, thinking about the whats ifs are all natural feelings especially at the end of a year. I think its always important to reflect on the year and be grateful for all the positive things that have happened and what I have achieved. No matter how bad you feel a day/week or a year has been, there are always positives.

So I thought I would share some of my positives of this year and my achievements:

  1. I posted my first blog post 6th August 2017.
  2. I hit my followers target of 100 followers before the end of the year.
  3. H from STEPS RT’d and commented on my blog post I put to Twitter.
  4. I planned and organised my Mum a 50th birthday party.
  5. I went to see STEPS in concert.
  6. I went to see Mel C in concert.
  7. My little brother got married.
  8. My littlest sister finished primary school and started secondary school.
  9. I was actually organised and sent out Christmas cards this year.
  10. I completed the “Pay It Forward” incentive that I was involved in through Facebook. Where 4 people commented I am in on your status, you send a letter/card or gift within the year, to spread positivity and kindness.
  11. I was semi organised and got all birthday, anniversary cards and gifts for family.
  12. I went on a photography course with my auntie, it was held in the New Forest. It was great fun and learned a lot about my new camera.
  13. I turned 26.
  14. I started using my bullet journal and have used it through this whole year and have already brought a new one for 2018.

So grateful that I have had my family and friends support and love throughout this year. I have been through a few things which weren’t as positive and still working through them and will continue to do so in 2018. I have definitely learned more about myself this year and have learned to stand up for myself more. I will  be making sure that I continue to do so in 2018.

These are just some of the things I am grateful for. I am interested in knowing what you are grateful for or have achieved this year, so let me know down in the comments below.

I want to take the time to thank all of you lovely people, who regularly click on my blog and read my posts who also show support by sharing my posts. I am so grateful to you and have made my first 4 months of blogging such an amazing experience, so a big thank you to you!

I hope you all have an amazing 2018 and you achieve your goals!

Here’s to an awesome 2018. I hope it’s full of fun and laughter.
A few of my goals for 2018 are having 1000 hits on my new blog, saving up my house deposit and losing at least 2 stone.

  7. Congratulations on your achievements. I made a list of my achievements in 2016 but I didn’t post it. It’s great that other people also think about what they should be thankful for. I really loved your list!

  11. Ahh I need to go to a photog course! Feel like it would help me so much. & I really want to hop on the bullet journal bandwagon too I just feel like I’m not creative enough to make it how I want. Hope 2018 is treating you well so far!

    1. It was so good and not expensive at all. Got it off groupon. So you should check it out. My one last year I tried but it’s all about practice. I recommend them. I have a bullet journal post coming up on my blog. So check it out (you will see I am not too creative) hope you have an awesome year x

  12. Oh I love the New Forest, I bet the photos you got to take are stunning!! You were incredibly organised this year, I strive to be like that (if even just with birthday cards) but manage to fail horribly every year, thankfully all my family are in ireland so usually I get to just blame the postal system 🙈 xx

    1. Awww thank you, you are very sweet. I still have soooo much to learn and do as I want to go self hosted this year. Yeah I saw them all the time when I was younger too. Off to see them in Yeovil in June with their support acts of Blue and Aqua so I am excited for that!
