A day in Southampton|

Yesterday marked the first of 6 days off from work, so for a change I decided to go to Southampton for the day. I got the train (which I enjoy doing, weird I know) in the morning. It started off such a dry day, boy did that change, haha!

I met up with my dad and his girlfriend and we went to Bills for lunch.

I had heard so many good reviews from bloggers and vloggers going to the Brighton branch. So when I saw the one in Southampton it was definitely a winner and the place did not disappoint.

Inside the restaurant was so cute, lots of low hanging lights, cute booths and tables. It looked so unique and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Such a calming atmosphere.

I went for the Bill’s hamburger well done, with skin on fries. I also had a peach and fresh mint iced tea. They were both so delicious, cooked to perfection. One of the best burgers I’ve had.

We then checked out the dessert menu, they all sounded so yummy. I went for the melting chocolate bombe. Where you pour over the hot caramel sauce and the chocolate shell melts. It had whipped cream, chocolate ice cream, chocolate brownie and honeycomb pieces. I had such a huge sugar rush, haha! After lunch, we had a walk around town (luckily whilst we walked on the high street, it had stopped raining).

I then did a little shopping and visited Paperchase, of course it was a must (as I love anything stationery), they had so many cute items in there.

I also went to Jack Wills, Lovisa and a few other places. I thought I would share with you what I brought in Southampton.

The little pots from Tiger I am going to use to hold ink cartridges and stationery on my desk. Stars for flat lays and postcard from Paperchase which will be on my desk.

I also brought some other Mother’s Day gifts for my lovely mum, but don’t want to post pictures on here, just in case she reads this post before tomorrow.

I had such a lovely day out, it was nice to have a change of scenery. What do you like to do on your days off? What is one of your favourite purchases recently?

  1. That bag from Jack Wills is amazing. I don’t think I’ve seen this shop in Cardiff, but I will look for it when I go to visit another city. Also I heard that Southampton is very pretty, I am planning a visit in the future 🤩🤗❤️

  2. That’s so cool you visited Southampton Lauren! 💖 I’ve never eaten in Bills but you ordered exactly what I would have chosen too. That burger looks delicious! 😍 The dessert sounded incredible. I’m gonna have to check this place out when I’m next in town. Also Paperchase and Tiger are my fave shops, you brought some really nice things! Sounds like a lovely day out 😘 xx

  3. I have a Bill’s down the road from where I live and literally their burgers are the best I’ve ever had, only second to GBK. Their lemonade is my favourite lemonade to have. Paperchase is literally such a cute store – I love their postcards for decoration. xx

  4. Lovely post! I took a picture of the exact same spot a while ago as I love the outside of Bill’s with those lights! I’ve never eaten anything there but you made me want to now! I will definitely check it out next time I’m in Southampton 😍 Oh and I LOVE Paperchase! My boyfriend already knows that this is the one shop we’re gonna go in everytime I see it haha 😍
