50 Things That Make Me Happy

Have you ever sat and thought about what makes you happy? Do you have a list in your head that you refer back to when you are having a bad day?

When you are not feeling well or having a bad day, you want to do things or enjoy things that make you happy. Writing down a list of things that make you happy is a great way to practise gratitude and it really highlights the smallest of things that make you smile.

Here are 50 things that make me happy and what I appreciate:

There are so many benefits from you living a happier life and enjoying the things that make you happy. Living a happier life can:

  • Strengthens your immune system

  1. Such a lovely post! Sorry you’ve had some stress at work lately. But how awesome of you to come up with this “happiness list”. I love it! Especially hand-written letter one. I thought I was the only one!

    1. No definitely not the only one, I love writing and sending letters. I want to write and do a pen pal thing but no idea how to go about it. Thank you for reading x

  2. The things that makes me happy and makes my world goes around a little faster mirrors yours just slightly. If I had to add, push came to shove, I would say, sports ie. Football, a big Man U fan (my birthplace), Barca and Sufc, F1, yoga fanatic, Rambling, travelling, playing and watching Tennis, retail therapy :-), cinema, beach and sun.

      1. Ooh brilliant. Firstly, I would recommend on finding a qualified instructor within your area, check your level as some exercises may/may not be suitable for others. Work on your balancing and breathing by going online ie. youtube has tonnes of them to ensure that you are prepped. Balance: make sure you get enough iron in your system as this will strengthen your stamina levels. There are some exercises that will challenge you. There are so many ways that you can do yoga so to make sure that it is for you, choose wisely. For example there is kudalini yoga which is one you can do in heat. I recommend taking a friend with you for dutch courage but I strongly advise doing yoga as it will improve your posture, encourages you to be grateful and once you do it everyday, you will see the benefits. Believe you me, it will also tone your tush and tums. Your body will thank you. Eventually you’ll be able to stick your leg in the air and be so flexible you’ll be answering the door whilst doing a headstand (joking). Best of luck and have fun! Enjoy it while you can.   3. I always love reading about the things that make people happy. YES on clean bed sheets! They feel so nice and smells so fresh as well, haha. I can totally relate to buying stationery. I have boxes of stickers and such – aka LOVE! Yum, chocolate cake is the best, isn’t it? ;). Thanks for sharing these happy things – keep it up ♥

  4. Lovely list Lauren! We are so similar in so many ways, especially in our love of stationery, colouring, scrapbooking & notebooks 😍.   6. Such a lovely idea for a blog post! I really like the fact that so many of these are small things and things to relax and unwind. It’s always the little things that put the biggest smile on my face. Like sitting down and watching Netflix after a long day or walking my dog. I really need to try an adult colouring book too! x

  7. Such a lovely list, I agree with so many on here – line dried washing is the best, chocolate gateaux, being on the beach, our cats, writing and receiving letters. I think we’re quite similar, although I’ve never had my nails shellacked – I might have to try this, although my gardener’s nails are pretty much wrecked already, haha! xx

    1. Shellacked nails I have found from my experience are so much stronger, so it might benefit you, when you are gardening. Yeah washing outside smells so much nicer I think! Xx

I love to sing along in the car especially if it is Mamma Mia, Ariana Grande or any type of musical. My family are also everything to me that is why our Christmas holidays have always been so fun because all seven of us are together 😊
