The Christmas Tag

It is the lead up to Christmas and so I thought it be a good festive post to share on my blog. I have decided that working full-time over Christmas, studying and fitting in family and a social life I will not be doing blogmas. I will post more often throughout December but I am not going to put pressure on myself to blog everyday. However, I am looking forward to reading others’ blogmas posts.

What is your favourite Christmas movie?

I have so many that I like, but Love Actually, You’ve Got Mail and the Home Alone movies are some of my favourites.

Have you ever had a white Christmas?

I am sure when I was younger we did, but we usually get our snow (if any) in January/February time. I would love to have a snowy day on Christmas Day.

Where do you usually spend your holiday?

Usually spend it at home, although this year we are actually for the first time going out on Christmas Day for dinner at the Toby Carvery. We are looking forward to getting dressed up and going out.

What is your favourite Christmas song?

I enjoy all the Christmas classics. A few years ago we heard a Reggae Reggae Christmas song, we thought it was hilarious and now its become a rolling Christmas tradition we play it and have such a laugh.

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

No, we wait until Christmas Day.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Fake, I have always had a fake tree growing up.

Are you a pro wrapper or do you fail badly when wrapping Christmas presents?

Urm haha a mix of in between. I would like to try and get better. I see Christmas gifts on Pinterest and the wrapping technique is so beautiful. I would love to get better at it!

What makes the holidays special for you?

Getting to spend time with family, taking time out of work and relaxing together. Also getting to see other family members we don’t get to see in the year. Eating yummy food and have fun together making memories.

Do you prefer to give or to receive gifts?

I love treating my loved ones. I much prefer taking the time to find the perfect gift for my loved ones and making them smile.

What place would you love to visit at Christmas?

Lapland or New York I think would be amazing!

Do you write and send Christmas cards?

Yes, I like to send Christmas cards.

I enjoyed answering these questions. If you have posted this tag on your blog, please like it in the comments so I can have a real. What is your favourite Christmas movie? I’d love to hear in the comments.

Love Actually and Home Alone are my two favourite festive films, I love them! I’m looking forward to have a movie night soon and watch them again. So far, I’ve only watched Nativity so need to get started with them all. Going out for dinner on Christmas Day to the Toby Carvery sounds so nice! My family and I went out for lunch on Christmas Day one year and it was great, we didn’t have to do any washing up and we could just go home and relax in front of the TV, he he. Wow yes, New York at Christmas would be the dream! Thanks for sharing Lauren, loved reading your answers ❤ xxx

I love how every family has their own funny traditions. I always get a real Christmas tree. The mess is a pain but I love the smell/ The Santa Clause and Elf are my two favourites but to be honest, I’ll watch anything Christmassy!

I’m not sure what I would choose for my favourite film, it’s a tough one! I have to agree with your choice of Home Alone though 😀 I remember only once having a white Christmas, it was probably about 8 years ago or something when in school! I remember it snowed so much a few days before and stayed for ages – It was amazing, but that’s the only time I remember having snow around Christmas. I surprisingly really enjoy wrapping presents too, haha!

What a fun post! My favorite Christmas movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life” with Jimmy Stewart & Donna Reed (vintage!) and a close second is “The Christmas Movie” about a 9-year old boy who wants a toy gun for Christmas – it’s really very funny. We have a real Christmas tree – smells lovely and it’s a fun family event to go out and get one, set it up & decorate it.

I love reading tag blog posts and ones about Christmas are even better. We’ve always had a fake Christmas tree too, I’d be too scared the real one would die before Christmas day, haha. Plus, don’t they leave needles everywhere? I’m too lazy to clean that up everyday! Brilliant post. X

My mom always had a fake tree when I was growing up. When I got married, she gave me her fake tree. I didn’t want to hurt her feelings so I accepted it. I finally got rid of the fake tree and right before Christmas, I found 2 other fake trees at mom’s house. One of these years, I will have a real tree!
