Ever since I was young I have always enjoyed going to concerts, I was very fortunate to be able to go to so many. Nothing has changed as I have got older. I have blogged about some recent concert experiences, Demi Lovato and STEPS. Having missed out on getting hold of tickets the first time, when Hayley announced there was going to be another tour date I knew I did not want to miss out again, so I made sure I got tickets.
I surprised my littlest sister with a ticket for Hayley’s concert at Christmas and I was excited to visit London and spend some quality time together. Plus it means a couple of days off school for her aswell which she saw a bonus.
We travelled to London by coach as even with my railcard it was so much cheaper, that will teach me for leaving it to the last minute haha! Once we reached London we checked into our hotel. Our hotel was okay value for one night and was in a good location, however a few things we were not happy so we will not be returning to that hotel in the future. Although there were some aspects we were unhappy with we did not let it ruin our trip.
The concert was amazing! The support act was a female artist called Naaz, she was really good also. Hayley put on an amazing show! Her voice is incredible and she just has such a positive presence. The whole venue was brought together by her music. It was an inclusive and love filled atmosphere. If you are a fan of Hayley and get the opportunity to attend one of her concerts I would highly recommend you go!
The next day we woke up early so we could get as much exploring and shopping in before our we had to get back on our coach home. We first headed to Westminster, where we saw The London Eye and The Houses of Parliament. We then had a cheeky McDonalds breakfast. Sophie wanted an ice-cream, so I got her an ice-cream too, there is no rules on what times you can eat ice-cream, right?!
As Sophie had only seen Buckingham Palace when she was in a car we decided to visit there, its so beautiful.
We caught the tube to Leicester Square and explored China Town, where we saw beautifully decorated cakes, so much delicious food and saw a company shooting a movie (very exciting!) and people performing.
M&M world was one shop that Sophie wanted to visit! There was so much chocolate. So many colours and so much chocolate haha! The next on the list was Disney store and Sophie loved it! The steps inside leading down to the lower ground were blue and glittery – so pretty.
Of course, I made a few purchases of my own. A couple from Paperchase, it would have been rude not too. Sophie also brought from Paperchase. I also brought a new enamel pin to add to my collection. This 2 day break was so lovely and I had quality time with my littlest sister.
What is your favourite concert you have been too? Have you ever visited London? I’d love to hear in the comments.
YOU SAW STEPS. I REPEAT, YOU SAW STEPS. I am so jealous! I used to listen to their songs growing up and I still do every now and then. Thanks for sharing!

It sounds like you both had a wicked time Lauren! I love London and feel very lucky to live so close to it! At the risk of sounding my age, I have no idea who you went to see (LOL) but I’m also a massive fan of going to concerts! I’ve seen soooooo many bands, but as I’m their number one fan and I got close enough to touch them, I’m going to have to say my fave one so far has to be Take That at the O2 in 2017! One of the best days of my life so far 🙂 xxx

Great post – it looks like you all had a wonderful time! I’m not a huge fan of concerts like that (more of a classical music/orchestra concert person), but it looks like you found a lot of other great things to see in London! Thanks for sharing!

I’m so jealous! I absolutely love Hayley Kiyoko. I just looked up future tour dates but nothing for the States yet. I’ll definitely keep an eye out though! I’d love to see her live some time in the future. I’m seeing my favorite band for the 3rd time in March and Ariana Grande in May, but what’s one more concert?! Ha.
I’m glad you both enjoyed the London sights! It’s so beautiful and definitely on my bucket list to visit someday.

Yeah can never have too many concerts lol. Me and my sister were supposed to go to Ariana but she cancelled (rightly after the bombing in Manchester) Hayley Kiyoko was amazing! Yes if you get the chance you should definitely visit London.

Awww, this seems like such a fun trip! I love your picture of the London Eye, and your new enamel pin is so cute! My favourite concert was Westlife’s farewell concert at Croke Park in Dublin – it was amazing, and a lovely trip to Ireland as a bonus.

It sounds like you both had a wonderful time, Lauren! I love how you made the most of your time in London and had a look around the next day. Those cakes look AMAZING, wow, they are so beautifully decorated! M&M World looks so cool, everything is so colourful! Yay for Paperchase, he he, I agree it’s rude not to pop in whenever you see one. I love your London phone box pin too, it’s such a sweet way to remember a special trip and an awesome pin for the collection 🙂 Thanks for sharing lovely, I’m glad you and Sophie had a great time! ❤ xxx

I went to loads of concerts in London when I was living in Brighton and would always come earlier in the day to be a cheeky tourist! I just looked it up and saw the gig you were at was Kentish Town, great venue in an awesome area! My last concert was at KOKO, on the other side of Camden, such an interesting and fun venue. I’ve also been to Alexandra Palace another time, but that’s such a pain to get to.
