Writing quotes with Brush Lettering

I can sit for a long time watching brush lettering or any lettering videos on youtube to be honest. I love to create and be creative, I try and practise my lettering and designs when I can. I love how beautiful brush lettering and calligraphy looks. I will learn to make them look amazing and be able to do it with ease. I am still learning but I thought I would share my progress so far. I thought I would show you by writing some lovely quotes.

I used the Tombow N15 pen and a pink brush pen and the coloured pens are the Staedtler colouring pen to bring colour to the quotes.

I still have a way to go but I enjoy being creative when I have the time. I like to have quotes or sayings posted throughout my notebooks or my bullet journal. It breaks up the pages, adds colour and gives me a little motivation. Do you like calligraphy or brush lettering? What is your one of your favourite quotes? I’d to hear in the comments.

Lauren, these are absolutely BEAUTIFUL, you are so talented! I’ve never tried calligraphy but it’s a skill I’ve always admired. I didn’t think to look at YouTube, what a good idea, I’ll have to try and do that because I’ve been gifted a set that I really want to use! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous artwork 🙂 x

These look great! I’ve never dabbled in this sort of art before – I’m not a very patient person and I can imagine you need quite a bit of that for this? Calligraphy videos are so dreamy!

I have been wanting to try this and have some practice sheets, but since my normal handwriting is not wonderful I do not think it will turn out as well as yours. Keep it up, they look great.

I like calligraphy too, though I’m not very good at it. One of my favorite quotes is the one by Gertrude Stein. “America is my country, but Paris is my hometown.”
