AD Schwartz Chip Seasoning Review

Schwartz chip seasoning with paprika and onion jar

AD* This post is sponsored but all views are my own.

One of my goals for this year is to focus back on my healthy eating and exercise regime. So that means more home cooked meals and making better recipe choices.

Growing up my mum would use Schwartz seasonings and continues to do so even now. I have followed in my mum’s footsteps and I now use them as an adult. There is something so easy about adding these seasonings and away you go.

I am not going to lie, I am no gourmet chef and I am always trying to cook different dishes. So whenever I have the chance to make cooking easier, I am definitely there for it. I never thought about chip seasoning before, but you season other food, so why not?

The chip seasoning consists of paprika, onion and garlic. You can see the full list with the nutritional information on the Schwartz website.

I decided to use this seasoning with skinny fries.

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200°C
  2. Drizzle the chips with some olive oil
  3. Bake for 30 minutes with the chicken until cooked
  4. Once cooked shake the seasoning over the chips

Although it states chip seasoning, this blend could be used to season fish, chicken and pasta dishes too. Such a simple method for this recipe.

This seasoning was a delicious blend that packed so much flavour for the chips. I decided to pair the chips with breaded chicken breast, which made for a great pair! Especially when I used some of the seasoning on my chicken too! You can taste all the ingredients in the seasoning and brings boring chips to life! This is an easy and simple way to add flavour to your simplest of dishes.

If you want to get your hands on this seasoning, you can pick it up from supermarkets like Tesco. You can also purchase directly from the Schwartz website, where you can read about the seasoning too.

Have you tried Schwartz chip seasoning before? I’d love to hear in the comments.

  1. This sounds good! I bet it would be gorgeous on homemade wedges, which I feel really need a bit of flavour. I do really like Schwartz mixes so will try this!

  2. Oh what a great idea – seasoning for chips … genius! I’ll definitely be trying this product out. Thanks for sharing xxx

  3. The flavor mix sounds divine, as I love onion and garlic. I think I would use this in a chicken or beef marinade rub, or in a salad dressing! Maybe even with shrimp . ..

  4. It is always good to start a healthy journey with better diet. Oooh, I am a huge sucker for seasoning! You did the right thing by flavoring the fries, hehe. Glad you enjoyed it overall! I need to check it out!

  5. I have a really sensitive stomach so I try to eat really bland, but I know a lot of people who would love that.

  6. Sounds great – I’ll have to give this a try. Always looking to spice things up in a new way!

  7. Mmmm nom nom! I loved Schwartz spices, I haven’t used the specific chip seasoning one but I use paprika the same way (sprinkled over chips or in a nice little pile to dip ’em in to 😉).
    Nicely reviewed.

  8. That seasoning looks delish! I have a slight allergy to garlic, but I’ve noticed small amounts here and there don’t bother me. We are HUGE fans of Paprika in this house and the combo looks amazing 😀

  9. I haven’t used this chip seasoning but often use Schwartz Cajun spices. They’re the perfect blend of flavours and great for any kind of dish.
