Tomorrow is my 29th birthday, it has come around so fast. I feel as I get older the birthdays just come around so so fast! I thought I would share with you a list of 30 things I want to do before I am 30 next year.

I cannot actually believe this will be the last year in my twenties. Time is running away and is going so fast! I thought this challenge would be great, a list I can check off. Having lists and the need to check them off motivates me even more. I want this year for me to be a year of real personal growth.

So here is the 30 things I want to do or achieve before I turn 30

  1. Go on holiday
  2. Do a charity walk/run
  3. Have saved every month in my mortgage fund
  4. Renew my passport
  5. To have upgraded to the premium plan on WordPress
  6. To have lost 2 stone and be healthier
  7. Open a private pension
  8. Treat myself to something I have always wanted
  9. Learn and practise meditation
  10. Publish my own e-book
  11. Have a solid morning routine
  12. Find a new job so no more work on the weekends and silly hours
  13. Go on a hike
  14. Try yoga
  15. Grow my hair
  16. Get my photos printed and into photo albums
  17. Create an effective media kit
  18. Send more handwritten letters
  19. Learn more about SEO and analytics
  20. Do a cinema trip alone
  21. To have bought new bedroom furniture
  22. Get a new iphone
  23. Have a consistent gym routine
  24. Take at least one day trip somewhere I have never been before
  25. Practise my brush lettering and calligraphy
  26. Journal everyday
  27. Go to a pride festival in another city
  28. Go to at least 2 concerts this year
  29. Go to at least 1 blogger event I have been invited too
  30. Read at least 5 books

I am hoping to be able to check these off and more this year. Like I said I want this to be a year of growth. I have made a copy of this list in my bullet journal so I can remind myself everyday!

    I have a lot of the same goals! I love my job but I hate working a rotating shift. I would love a job where I work from home or at least have decent hours! Good luck!

  19. Great list – I still haven’t achieved many of these but I have done the cinema alone. Honestly, a cinema trip alone is so good – all the space & sweets you want!!

  20. I wish I had come up with a list like this and had time to do them all. I turn 30 this September, and I am not looking forward to it! haha. I’ll have to do a 40 before 40 and see where it gets me. 😀

  29. Happy birthday! I’m 30 next year too so I feel you! Though I’d say, switch to WordPress.org rather than premium WordPress plan. Self hosting gives you so much more freedom. – and it’s cheaper! ❤️❤️❤️

  34. This is such a great list I am sure you will be able to achieve everything on here. Do you know where you would like to book a holiday too? Also, setting up a pension is such a responsible thing to do every once in a while I think about doing it then never do but actually making sure we are set for the future is something we should be thinking about!

    1. I am not relying on state pension. I have a work pension and then will open a private pension. No idea on a holiday destination. Somewhere hot. Thank you for reading and commenting!

      1. I work in the civil service and see the state pension amounts that some people get and they are pitiful how you are expected to live on £8000 per year is beyond me! So getting a work and private pension is definitely a good thing to do!

  35. I started to go to the movies by myself, and it’s not so bad. You’ll find that no one looks at you twice, and you’ll see others flying solo there too. I once even went to a sit down restaurant to eat afterwards. That’s a little more conspicuous, but I still recommend it.

  45. I love this idea of writing out your goals. These are realistic goals too set to a realistic time scale. I must do this as I approach my 36th birthday 😬😬😬xxxx
