*AF. This post contains affiliate links, so I make a commission for any product sold at no cost to you.
For most bloggers taking their blog to the next level and making money is the next logical step. There are a variety of different avenues you can pursue to turn your hobby into a business. Affiliate sales and working with brands are great business tools in making money and building a successful blog.
What is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each customer or a visitor brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.
Affiliate sales is something I have recently started utilising this year and I am still very much new to and still learning about affiliate sales and marketing. Like blogging, affiliate sales and marketing is not just as easy as posting a link to social media and sitting back. Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that! If you do not know Kayleigh she is a blogger and is the queen of affiliate sales. Watching her smash affiliate sales is super motivating and inspiring to follow.
Kayleigh has recently released some new ebooks and one of these ebooks is A Beginners Guide To Affiliate Sales. In this ebook Kayleigh has information covering:
- Understanding your audience
- Affiliate programs you can join
- Creators that Kayleigh affiliates for
- Over saturation and what to avoid
- Creating a blog post for affiliate sales
- Blog post ideas
- Email marketing
- Pinterest marketing
- Seasonal sales

In each section Kayleigh offers detailed explanation that is easy to follow and tips that have worked for her. These tips are proven to work as shown in her affiliate sales success. I have been implementing these tips and I definitely feel more confident in my ability to make consistent sales. I never even thought about other areas of marketing so this has been a huge help. I am looking forward to seeing the benefits. As I am wanting to develop my blog and start to earn money online, I am investing time in following Kayleigh’s tips and expertise to develop. You can grab this ebook for an affordable price and know you are getting advice that is proven to work.
Pitching to brands & creating lasting brand relationships
Working with favourite brands is a huge desire for a lot of bloggers, if you haven’t worked with a brand before you can be overwhelmed and unsure how you can find work or how you can pitch to a brand.
If you want to start pitching to brands Kayleigh’s ebook Pitching To Brands & Creating Lasting Brands is a great resource. Breaking down the different areas that you will need to be aware of when you are pitching and working with brands on content. This ebook includes information on:
- What is a collaboration?
- Disclosure
- When to decline brand work
- Gifted work
- How to find brand work
- Pitching to brands
- How to write a pitch
- Pitch examples
- What to charge
- Once you’ve sent the pitch
- Lasting brand relationships
I have been pitching to brands cold for around a year and a half, learning as I go. However, this ebook gave me more tips on how I can improve on finding more brand work and other useful information about how to sustain those relationships with the brands. This ebook is easy to follow and explains everything a blogger or influencer would need to consider when pitching to brands and creating those effective lasting brand relationships.
There are so many ebooks and blog posts out here on the internet and like me you probably are wondering, which ones have effective advice and which ones are actually worth investing in. Kayleigh has regular brand collaborations and is an experienced blogger. The tips and advice she writes in her ebooks are already proven to work, you only have to take a look at her statistics and the money she makes from sales and brand work.
Are you wanting to start affiliate sales or working with brand work? I would recommend checking out Kayleigh’s content! Do you want to work with brands? I’d love to hear in the comments.
I’m a big lover of affiliate marketing! Another one that’s good for consistent earnings is AdSense – I want to get onto Mediavine eventually xx

I wholeheartedly agree with what you’ve shared in this post! For me, the most money comes from sponsored posts, but I have been making some money from affiliate marketing and adsense too. I’m nearly at the required amount to apply for Mediavine, so here’s hoping for 2021!
Kayleigh is great at affiliate marketing, I’d definitely recommend her ebook for beginners. I think people really underestimate how much you can make from it, especially when you’re advertising the right products for your audience! x

I’m just starting to get my affiliate/collab setup done and I’ve been really lucky with a brand contacting me for a collab post. I’ve also pitched to a local brand I want to support and will be their first affiliate! Meanwhile, I’m aiming to get some Christmas present affiliate links up to kick off my Amazon account- I’ve been considering Kayleigh’s books; do they speak about how to be an amazon affiliate for multiple countries?? Thanks for sharing!

She doesn’t cover Amazon affiliates for multiple countries but she does share places where you can find affiliates, how you can pitch to brands, templates and how to promote your affiliate links.

Hi Lauren. Great tips for bloggers looking to make money from their blog. How long does it take, do you think, to get to the stage that many people aspire to – being able to make blogging their full-time source of income? Is that something that you are aiming to do?

This is great information. I have just started putting together the information necessary to pitch to brands (creating my media kit, for example) after having a couple of good collaborations and realizing that it is something that I am fully capable of doing in a way that benefits everyone involved. I think that’s what it takes sometimes, that push to give it a try and see that we really can do it!

I read Kayleigh’s income report for October, and she makes so much from affiliate marketing! I bought her ebook, and I should give it a read soon!
Her ebook on pitching to brands does sound useful too as I’m not that confident with cold pitching to brands.

Great tips here! Over the past 5 years, I’ve found that long-term partnerships with brands is the best option for my blog. However, in the last several months, I’ve been shocked to find my affiliates performing much better. I guess a healthy combination of both is key!
