When you think about cruelty-free products, The Body shop has been leading the charge since long before I was born; I was aware of my mum using their products when I was very young.
Having a pamper with luxurious skincare and body care products can lift your mood and make you feel relaxed. A simple but effective self-care practice coupled with The Body Shop’s indulgent products is the perfect combination.
The Body Shop was founded by Dame Anita Roddick in Brighton in 1976. With her passion for the planet and campaigning for causes, The Body Shop was and is more than just a beauty brand.
Sammy is a The Body Shop at Home Consultant. She has been selling The Body shop products for 3 years. She is based in Kent, but can provide products to customers across mainland UK. Look out for Self Care with Sammy; you can check out her personal website, her Facebook page and her Instagram.
Here are some of the products which you can enjoy:
1. Hemp Hand Protector
This hand cream is great for ultra-dry hands and provide you with 24-hour hard-working hydration. It restores moisture and protects ultra-dry skin. The formula is not greasy and is fast absorbing.
The formula is made with hemp seed oil from France. It has a really lovely scent and I love how soft it makes my hands. If like me you can get really dry hands, this hand cream is the perfect choice.
2. Camomile Sumptuous Makeup Cleansing Butter
This purifying cleanser is a buttery pot of goodness that will help you to take off your makeup with ease. It stops hidden nasties from clogging up your pores whilst keeping your skin refreshed. This formula is perfect for sensitive skin and even contact lens wearers.
This cleansing butter leaves my skin so soft and removes all my makeup. It takes off all the makeup even waterproof mascara!
3. Jamaican Black Castor Oil Intense Moisture Mask
Treat your curls to an intense treatment that will give it the hydration it needs. You will see the benefits after your very first use. Black castor oil combined with vegan keratin protein and shea butter work to nourish and hydrate your hair. In addition, the mask always helps to detangle and soften your hair. I don’t have curls, but one of my little sisters does and she has been using the mask. She says her hair is super soft and hydrated.
4. Almond Milk Lip Care Stick
Hydrate lips in a swipe with the moisture-rich almond milk Lip Care stick. Use this lip saviour to get your lips feeling soft, nourished, hydrate with a subtle sheen.
This stick is 98% natural origin ingredients including: almond milk, shea butter, coconut oil. My lips like my hands have been really dry due to the weather, so this was a welcomed product. It has definitely helped to moisturise my lips and they are no longer chapped.
5. Natural Form Mascara
This everyday black mascara stays feeling lightweight, comfortable and gentle throughout the day. The natural Form mascara lifts, lengthens and defines the appearance of your eyelashes for a natural, soft and fanned out look.
I am fortunate to have long eyelashes and with the use if the mascara, my lashes are fuller and fanned out without any clumps or flakes.
