Skincare is such an important element to your healthcare. Since my Fibromyalgia diagnosis, my skin has become extremely unpredictable, so it is now a continuous battle. This is why I was happy to trial Hyper Hydration by Kalocaly.
Kalocaly is the brand created by Karen. The name came from merging Karen and philocaly. The word philocaly comes from the Greek words ‘philos’ meaning love and ‘kalos’ meaning beauty. The name Karen comes from the Hebrew word meaning pure i.e. the idea of bringing the purity and the natural to the skincare market.
Kalocaly is a small business that creates high quality products in the UK. The hydration serum is natural, cruelty-free and vegan.
Kalocaly uses cutting-edge science to create skincare formulations that are based on scientific principles, not marketing hype. It is abut targeting your skin’s hydration without using any harsh chemicals. The brand is passionate about the environment and sustainability, which is why they do not test on animals or use any toxic ingredients.
Hyper Hydration
The ‘hyper hydration’ serum is a new facial serum that has been created to hydrate your skin. This serum has been developed without any parabens, sulphates or artificial colours.
The serum has high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acids which are known to work through many skin layers. They can then draw water into the skin’s surface, which will support the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
This product is vegan, cruelty-free and the natural ingredients are suitable for all skin types.
How to use Hyper Hydration
You cleanse your face as normal and use your usual toner. Then, you simply use 4-5 drops of hyper hydration serum and gently rub into your face and neck, followed by your moisturiser as normal.
My thoughts
My first impression was that I loved the packaging and I liked the scent of the serum; it has a really fresh scent. The serum comes in the form of a pipet. I like products like this as they are precise and the product lasts much longer.
Due to the Summer weather, my skin has been quite dry, so this serum came at the right time.
I have been using this serum as part of my skincare routine for nearly two weeks and have seen a positive difference in my skin. As I have been spending more time in the sunshine, my skin has become drier. So, using this serum has helped plump my skin and give it that hydration it needs, especially when I have been in the sun or been on a sun bed.
The serum rubs in well and you are not left with oily sticky skin like other serums that I have tried. Furthermore, the product scent is fresh and with its quick absorbency means my skin routine doesn’t have to be time consuming! As I have switched my skincare routine to vegan products this serum has become a staple within my routine.

If you are looking for a product to inject some hydration into your skin, I highly recommend using this in your skincare routine. Would you try this serum? I’d love to hear in the comments.
This sounds like a lovely product. I love a serum, they’re definitely my favourite part of a skincare routine! I love the bottle too.
I love a good serum in my skincare collection as well! Sadly I don’t think this is the right one for me as I’m an oily skinned gal but this would be great for any dry girlies out there. Great post ☺️
Definitely recommend giving it a go!
I love a good serum. I may need to switch my products as my skin is looking pretty rough lately. I may look into giving this one a try x
I definitely recommend checking this out.
Interesting review and detailed as well. I will share this with my partner because we were talking about products like this.

This sounds like the ideal serum, especially as it rubs in well – it’s never nice to be left with an oily face. It’s great that it’s vegan and cruelty-free too! I’d definitely consider trying it after my current serum runs out. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience!

This sounds like an effective serum. And I am a big fan of a fresh light scent. And indeed the packaging is super pretty.

I’ll certainly be sending this off to my best mate. He’s had a horrible time with his skin lately and has been grasping at straws trying everything and anything to fix it. Fortunately (and as soon as I type this things are going to go south) my skin has always been in good nick even without a skincare routine.
Definitely recommend! Thank you. I hope it helps him!
I use something similar-ish to this serum and it really, really makes a difference with skin hydration. I like the sound of this brand so when my current one if finished, I will see if I can get this!
Definitely does. Thank you for reading and commenting.
Love this! I’ve been looking for products to add to my skincare routine and this sounds perfect. I love that they’re sustainable and it’s so handy it comes in a pipet as I feel otherwise I’d end up using way too much! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts x
I definitely recommend this! Thank you for reading and commenting.
This sounds like a great product! I love serums with fresh scents. Thank you for sharing!
Definitely check it out! Thank you for reading and commenting.
I have never heard of the product or brand. Thanks for sharing!
Definitely recommend checking out the benefits of using this product. X
I love serums, I find them to be much more lightweight and absorb faster than moisturisers. And like you, I’m a fan of pipette dispensing, it’s more hygienic and you can control how much you use. Sounds like a lovely product, Lauren, and I love the ethos behind the name too. x
Definitely better value with a pipettes. Thank you for reading and commenting.
I’ve always had problems with dry skin, and I’ve tried a lot of products over the years to try to better manage that. This is why I though I’d check out your post to see if this could help with my problem. However, I’m allergic to the ingredients they use to add scent to products like this, so it looks like I can’t used this product
Oh no! That’s such a shame. I hope you find something that helps you soon. Thank you for reading and commenting.
I haven’t heard of Kalocaly before, but I love the story behind the name and I also love that the brand is vegan and cruelty-free! The hyper hydration serum does sound fantastic!
