I have used the Leuchtturm brand of bullet journal for years. However, there are so many different brands and style of bullet journal. I decided I would buy another bullet journal brand and compare it to my Leuchtturm journal. I found the Stationery Island bullet journal on Amazon and thought it would be perfect for this experiment. If you are a bullet journal lover like me, or you are thinking about starting a journal and not sure what would be right for you, I am hoping this post is helpful to you.
It has been a couple of years since I have started calligraphy and it has been an on and off creative activity for me. But in the last year or so I have definitely been practising and experimenting more with different styles and various pens.
I don’t know about you but October just feels super autumnal and it makes me so happy. I am able to wear cosy jumpers and scarves. I was excited to design another fresh months worth of bullet journal layout pages. I of course had to incorporate pumpkins into the pages because of Halloween ha ha!
I love this time of year, the beautiful colours changing in nature. Although, I love sunny days I cannot wait for it to be colder and I can wear cosy jumpers and just lots of layers ha ha! The colours in nature for Autumn are beautiful and I thought it would make a great colour scheme for Autumnal Bullet Journal spreads. Having my bullet journal gives me the space to practise my doodles (I need all the practise I can get, ha ha!), borders and titles with different lettering.
I am loving being back into bullet journalling and getting creative with the different designs. I love the start of a new month, especially when its the start of Autumn. I love Autumn, as I love reasons to wear cosy jumpers and chunky scarves. The fresh crisp days makes me happy.
Definitely in the last year I have heard so much about Crayola SuperTips to rival the other pens on the market for brush and calligraphy lettering. I have seen so many youtube videos about using these pens in bullet journal spreads.
Bullet journalling for me is not only about being organised but it is another creative outlet for me to experiment with lettering, colour and washi tape. There is so many different designs and so many creative possibilities to fill those blank pages. It makes me happy. If I feel stressed or anxious I get my bullet journal and do something creative. I am going to share 5 other reasons why I love to bullet journal and how it benefits me.
When you search online about bullet journalling there is so many do’s and don’ts, photos of weekly spreads and so much information. It can be so overwhelming especially if you are new and are wanting to learn how you can start.
Bullet Journals can be so versatile and you can use them to track all sorts of projects. I like to use my bullet journal for blogging as well as personal day-to-day tasks and include weekly spreads.
By using my bullet journal I am able to track all my blog progress and social media engagement all in one place. I can also reflect on the previous month and see what social media platforms are working well and where I need to spend more time.
I am so excited to be sharing this post because it means I am back to bullet journalling. If you didn’t already know I had been bullet journalling for 2 years and then I came across the Happy Planner (which I wrote about here). I have trialled the planner for several months and at first it worked well, but I began to struggle.
