I can’t believe I am writing my reflection of 2019, how is it the end of the year? It is also the end of a decade! I feel that the end of the year is the perfect time to reflect on what has happened and what you have achieved. Sometimes I forget to remind myself of how much I have achieved or the positive changes that have happened over the past year. Writing a blog post like this is humbling and I feel incredibly grateful for another year. Posts like these act as viral diary for me to be able to look back in years to come also.
What I have achieved this year:
Worked with some amazing brands
This year I reached out and worked with 7 different stationery brands for National Stationery Week. I was so fortunate to have these brands work with me, some of these brands I have continued purchasing from as I love their products so much! The stationery blog posts were very well received and I was even able to host a giveaway too. It was so much fun!
I was invited by the lovely team at Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel for a brunch experience
I was so humbled that the team reached out and invited me. It was my first event style post in my hometown and to be able to bring that to my blog was so exciting for me. I was able to take my mum and my littlest sister, we all had a great time and the food was incredible! Thank you again to Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel.
I opened a help to buy ISA through my bank
One of my bigger life goals is to own a house. In todays society, it is incredibly difficult to get onto the property ladder and rent prices are getting higher and higher. I thought this ISA would be a great way to save extra money for my mortgage. My friend using this ISA has just brought her own flat this year, so I know they work well and so easy to save.
Created a strict blogging schedule
During September I created a proper blogging schedule, where I put specific days and times in place for every week. Posting every Monday and Friday at 9am. I am annoyed at myself for not doing this sooner, it has allowed me to plan my content ahead of time. It has definitely changed the way I blog, I now have all my blog content planned until end of March 2020.
I received my first payment for a guest post
This was my first guest post by a brand and I loved that it was stationery related, it was all about how you can organise your stationery supplies. It worked so well on my blog and it was well received by my audience too.
I was really proud to have reached out to so many brands this year. I want to say a big thank you to: BusyB, Say Nice Things Stationery, BujoBox, Stampin Up UK, BossBird, Glitter and Earth, Charrwillson Stationery, Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel, Thinking Gifts, The Blurt Foundation and ELB Counselling. It is so humbling to have these brands want to work with me and my brand.
This post is all about achievements and positivity. But this year we did have a huge loss to our family and we lost our baby boy suddenly. I came back from the doctors to find one of my dogs had passed away. It has left a huge hole and it is definitely quieter without him. We all miss him!
The end of the year reflections and thoughts are also intertwined with anticipation and excitement about a brand new year and the feeling that anything is possible. I have enjoyed taking this time to reflect. I will be sharing my new goals for 2020 in a blog post in January.
What are you most proud of this year? I’d love to hear in the comments.
Great post and agree end of the decade sounds weird to say. So sorry about your dog…can not wait to see what 2020 will bring…

Thank you! Xxxx
It sounds like you had a great year! I went to a few concerts too, including Take That (twice!) and I’ve already got 4 lined up for next year.
I’ll be posting my review of the year sometime between Christmas and New Year.
Sounds great! Thank you for reading xx
A beautiful post! Looking back, it seems so much as happened and, when you compile a list of everything you have accomplished, you actually realize how long it is.
Am inspired to write a reflection of my year as well now!
Happy Holidays.
Thank you!!! X
In 2019, I FINALLY visited my dream destination of Thailand and got a good first, fresh-out-of-uni job. I hope to find a different job towards the end of 2020, but it’s been interesting and rewarding experience so far!

2019 has really flown by! It’s like I blinked and suddenly New Years is right around the corner! WOW massive congratulations on working with 7 different stationary brands for National Stationary week, that’s amazing! One thing I want to work on in 2020 is approaching brands to collaborate!
YAY concerts, I’ve only been to one before, and it’s just such an amazing experience and really fun to go with friends. Creating a strict blogging schedule was something that I started back in September – wow posting daily Monday through Friday!! That’s amazing! I post once a week and sometimes I get worried about not getting a post ready in time with photos!
I think I’d say I’m most proud of my work ethic from blogging, coding to running and everything in between!
