Positive habits to me are habits you are practising that have a valuable affect on your physical or mental health. You can have positive and toxic habits that can impact your life and help boost or stop you from succeeding. You can track positive habits with habit trackers to help hold you accountable in achieving them. In order for your to be successful and confident you must work through toxic mindsets and start to implement more positive habits and mindsets.
Removing the toxic habits can help get rid of the negative energy and boost your confidence and self-esteem. Do you know that it is not just about positive habits that can help change your life and mental health, you can also use supplements to help bring calmness and reduce stress. CBD has so many well documented benefits (read more on Royal CBD about this) regarding lifting your mood and helping to make you feel less anxious. I am consciously working on these areas to help change my life. Do you implement positive habits in your life?
I am sharing 10 positive habits you should be practising now to help bring a positive mindset and change your life.
1. Show gratitude
Practising showing gratitude daily can dramatically improve your life. You can use a gratitude journal or even just voice your appreciations. It helps you to focus on what you have in your life, boost your mental health and brings positivity into your life, which can help alter your negative mindset.

2. Create a morning routine
Having an effective morning routine can help boost your productivity. It gives your day more structure and allows you to manage stress levels. When you are consistently going to sleep and waking up at the same time you have better quality sleep but it can also improve your physical and mental health. Waking up and knowing what tasks you need to complete and so have organisation can help you work smarter and be more successful.
3. Set 3 daily priority tasks
It is proven that having 3 top priority tasks a day can help you be the most productive with your time. Having a huge list of tasks can often be overwhelming and often mean you procrastinate rather than ticking things of that list. Planning like this can help you stay seriously organised in your home and work life prioritising tasks with the closest deadline. Often when you have achieved these 3 tasks you are in that mindset where you are motivated to achieve more, but it also means if you are not you have still had a productive day and feel like you have accomplished something.
4. Be present
If 2020 has taught us anything it is that being present in the moment is so important. Put down your phone and switch off from work and spend some quality time with the people you are with. Living in the moment can bring positivity and allows you time away from your thoughts and anxieties. Being present allows you to collect and treasure those precious memories. Living your life this way can boost your mental health and your self-esteem. Having time away from screens is always a positive activity.
5. Show kindness
Being kind is free and spreading kindness can not only make others feel good but can make yourself feel better too. Kind acts can strengthen relationships which can help improve your mood, your self-esteem and research has shown it can even help to lower blood pressure.

6. Exercise
This by no means is me saying you have to go to the gym everyday of the week. There are so many forms of exercises that can suit everyone. Exercise can be taking a short walk, doing the housework, yoga or even a workout video. These simple steps can help you improve your physical health, mental health and your sleeping patterns. This part of self-care is vital and incorporating exercise just once a week can be a huge positive change to your life releasing those endorphins to make you feel good.
7. Prepare for success the night before
Ensuring you have your outfit ready or your work ready for the following day can help you feel more organised and ready for your day ahead. Having a planned morning can help you be productive. This means you are less stressed and lowers your blood pressure. This simple habit helps you set your intentions for the day.
8. Drink more water
This is a habit I really struggled with at first, but using a habit tracker has really held me accountable. Drinking more water can help improve your skin health, maintains blood pressure, improves your performance and even helps you to regulate your body temperature. Your body with more water feels more energised and you will have more motivation to accomplish your goals.
9. Keep your space tidy
The saying tidy space tidy mind is so true! Having a tidy and organised home or workspace helps you to be more organised in all areas of your life. Having a clear space allows you to be able to worker complete tasks without distractions. Your productivity levels will soar.

10. Look after yourself
Making yourself a priority is vital in creating a positive and healthy life for yourself. Self-care is helpful in boosting your mental health and physical health. You only have one life and taking care of others is great but you need to remember to look after yourself as well. This doesn’t mean a face mask everyday or a pamper evening every other night, just set aside some time each week to do something that makes you happy, make sure you are eating well and getting enough sleep. Deciding to put yourself first is a big step to changing your mindset and your life.
Do you practise say of these positive habits? I’d love to hear in the comments.
Some really great tips here. I definitely think that showing gratitude and reminding yourself about the things you are grateful for on a daily basis is a good tool. I also find that if you’re feeling down and like you have no energy try sticking your favourite song and dance around like crazy! – Jen @ thelifestuff.co.uk
